The rules put forth will
be checked closely. In fact, the race
winner will not report to victory lane following the feature. The race winner must report directly to the
tech center to be torn down. Upon review
of the top cars in tech, the race winner will then be determined - interviewed,
photographed and presented their awards.
1. Open to any North American built car from 1965-2007. No interchange of frame and body. No fiberglass or rubber body parts with the
exception of stock appearing rubber nose pieces and tail sections. Spoilers allowed with a maximum 4 inch
height, skirts etc. may be added. No Air
boxes permitted.
2. Fiberglass
bodies are only permitted if your home track allows it and may only be run with
50lbs of added weight to the existing weight minimum in the rules.
Body
must remain of stock overall appearance.
3. Car
body and overall appearance must retain all stock dimensions. Altered body lines will be significant reason
for disqualification. The body may not
be lowered on the frame. The body must
be mounted in original factory-stock location in relation to the frame. All body components must maintain year and
model of the rest of the car. Frame must
remain stock from front to rear. Stock dimension windshield pillars must be
retained. Windshield pillars and
windshield angle must remain stock. No
lower body extension or flares allowed.
4. Windshield
may be replaced with plexiglass or lexan. Must be a full windshield.
Only heavy gauged screen can be otherwise used.
5. Doors
must be welded or bolted securely front and back.
6. Body
molding, including door handles, must be removed.
7. Interior
of car must be completely stripped.
Driver must sit in stock position.
8. Front
firewall must be original with all holes covered with no less than 20 gauge
steel and must remain in original position and location.
9. All
unibody cars must have a minimum two inch by three
inch sub-frame. The sub-frame must be no
less than .120 wall thickness.
10. Side
rails allowed with no sharp edges. One
bar only.
1. Stock,
unaltered engine and transmission combination must be within chassis as a
factory item.
2. Engine
can not be in excess of 360 cubic inches plus .040 overbore. Engine must match make and model of car used.
3. Maximum
one stock unaltered two-barrel carburetor. 1 3/8 maximum venturi
size maximum allowed. Nothing
larger than a Holley 4412 carburetor.
4. Engine
must be original stock location.
5. Stock
cast iron intake and exhaust manifolds must be used (unaltered). No center dump
manifolds. Street headers allowed.
6. All
engines must use stock OEM type flat top pistons. Stock OEM productions rods,
crank and block. Edelbrock 2101 intake permitted but must add 25 lbs. of
weight.
7. Cylinder
heads, intake manifolds (two barrel only), and exhaust manifolds must be
unaltered, Stock OEM production cast iron.
No porting, polishing or grinding.
Heads must have stock internal measurements. No boss Ford, or Chrysler hemi or Pontiac ram
air heads allowed. No Chevrolet angle
plugs heads. No screw in studs
allowed. Studs may be pinned. Vortec heads may be
used ONLY providing the engine compression is 9
to 1 or less. Screw in studs permitted.
8. Any
hydraulic camshaft permitted with maximum .520 lift.
9. Stock
valves with maximum of 1.94 intake and 1.5 exhaust for
Ford and Mopar engines.
10. No
timing degree chambers.
11. Only
stock ignition permitted, car must have working self starter. No battery within driver’s compartment.
12. Roller
rockers permitted.
13. Maximum
compression ratio of 10 to 1. Compression
will be checked with whistler.

Any cars with the .450 lifter cam may run 1.60 rocker arms. This applies to

stock production, transmission is allowed.
Four speed standard transmissions are permitted. No high performance or special order
transmission is allowed. No modifying of
transmission in any manner is allowed.
Reverse gear must be in working order.
Any automatic transmission will be allowed. Only Camaro’s may
use a standard shift design as original.
2. All
108” wheelbase must have 3-speed automatic
transmission.
3. All
cars must have stock unaltered V8 torque converters with a stall speed between
1500-2300 RPM’s. Stall speed will be checked with car
in gear, on ground and measured with a tachometer.
1. Only
stock components may be used throughout rear axle assembly.
2. Locked
rear-ends or limited slip rear ends allowed.
3. Drive
shaft must be painted a bright color.
Exhaust Manifold
1. Street headers permitted. Crossover headers may only be used if engine
is 9 to 1
or
less in their compression.
2. Exhaust pipes must extend under car and exit behind driver and
outside of sheet metal. No inverting of
manifolds.
Suspension
1. Parts must be stock for make and model, no heavy duty or limited
product. Racing springs may be
used: however they must be of the same
design as original equipment and must mount in original spring mounting bracket
position and location. Only 4 springs
are allowed per car and must be stock in appearance. Coil springs may be cut. No adjustable shocks. Jacking bolts allowed. Racing shocks is permitted only if it is
mounted in original mounting points. Any
alteration will require an additional 75lbs. of weight.
2. Stock sway bar must be standard size. No heavy duty package. Sway bar link must be mounted in stock
position. No rear sway bar. No after market shocks.
3. A minimum of five inch frame ground clearance. Will be measured at the
frame rail behind the front wheel and in front of the rear wheel.
4. Ford 9 inch rear ends permitted.
5. Any spring or shock that has been moved must be completely stock. Any car that
has moved their springs or shocks must weigh a maximum 54% left side weight and
add 50 lbs. additional weight to the 3,200 lb. minimum.
Brakes
1. Stock OEM brakes are mandatory on all four wheels and must be in
100% working order. No heavy duty or
limited production parts. No adjusting
devices.
Wheels and Tires
1. Steel wheels must be used and have a maximum width of eight
inches. Offset must be same on all four
wheels. After market wheels are
permitted.
2. All wheels must be same diameter, either fourteen or fifteen
inches.
3. Right side wheels must be reinforced if stock.
4. 1” lug nuts mandatory on all four wheels. ½ inch wheel studs suggested.
5. Mandatory tires rule allows for
the following:
Left Side: Hoosier
Sportsman, Comanche or 880. Right
Side: Hoosier 980.

General Rules
1. Car must have full frame from
front to rear as it came from the factory.
2. All cars must have a working fire extinguisher in easy reach of
the driver.
3. Radiator must have an overflow can, one gallon minimum
4. No oil coolers are allowed.
Transmission cooler allowed.
5. Exhaust pipes must extend behind driver’s door to outside of body.
6. Driver’s side must extend behind driver’s door to outside of body.
7. All roll bars, side bars or other protrusions that driver may come
into contact with must be properly padded.
Roll bar padding must be approved.
8. Steel drive shafts only.
Drive shaft and universals must be similar to standard production
style. Steel 360 degree retainer loops ½
inch thick by 2 inches wide minimum, must be pos. at the front and rear shaft,
within 12 inches of each u-joint.
9. Car must weight 3,200 lbs. with driver at all times. No allowances for gas after race. Maximum 56% left side weight. No weight may be mounted within driver’s
compartment. Fuel may be added to make
weight after race but no water or oil may be added.
10. Camaro type cars must weigh a minimum of
3,250 lbs. with maximum 54% left side weight.
No weight may be mounted within drivers compartment.
11. No hood scoops or air boxes of any kind.
12. Throttle-mechanical
throttle linkage strongly suggested.
13. All cars must be neatly painted and professionally lettered. Numbers from 00 to 99, no letters. Numbers must be minimum of 18 inches high.
14. Mirrors permitted, no two way or one way radios.
Competition note: The above stated rules must be met. You cannot take only the rules that you like
from above and then apply them. All
above rules must be met. There is no
more difficult situation then to have the first place driver photographed,
interviewed and awarded their trophy only to be disqualified. This is why we will hold the post race
ceremony until the top cars have been torn down and deemed legal. This will be done, so avoid the
embarrassment of being disqualified and compete legally.
