PARTICIPATING
SPEEDWAY BONUS PROGRAM: Teams will earn 50
bonus points toward the overall title by running in a total of three (3) non –
R.o.C events at participating tour facilities.
These points will not apply to the regional point totals. A separate form will be available to mark
down the three race events you participated in. Race dates after September 3rd are not eligible for
the bonus so that points can be in place prior to combination races. Teams can credit three (3) events at either
Lancaster Raceway Park or Mahoning Valley; two (2) events at Wyoming County
International or one (1) event at either the Chemung Speedrome, Wall Township
Speedway or Thompson Speedway in their Sportsman or B-Mod type division.
POINT FUND: Three
separate point funds will be established for the 2006 Roc Asphalt Modified
Tour. A separate point fund will be established
for both the central and north regions along with an overall combination point
fund. Each regional point fund will be
paid separate from the overall combination point fund. A driver can earn points and point fund
money in both regions. Point fund will
be paid out at Annual Awards Banquet, those drivers not in attendance will
receive their point fund money at the first event of the following race season.
MEMBERSHIP:
All drivers participating in a Race of
Champions Asphalt Modified Tour event must have a paid membership on file. Crew participants may purchase a membership
as well for discounted pit admission at regional events. All participating crew members must have a
membership to enter the pit area at Wall Township Speedway.
DRIVER BUY IN PROGRAM: If
a driver has used his/her 1 provisional starting spot they will have two “buy
in” opportunities during the season schedule.
At each race the top 10 drivers in that region points will have 2
opportunities to be added to the field.
That driver must pay last place starting money to ensure that position
after qualifying. Only two “buy in”
drivers will be permitted at each event and will be based on placement in
points from 1st to 10th place. The top 10 in overall points will also have that opportunity at
combination events. 2005 top ten
drivers may use this opportunity at first race of 2006.
56TH
ANNUAL SUNOCO R.O.C GUARANTEED STARTING SPOTS: Only the top five drivers
from each region will earn guaranteed starting spots for the 56th
annual Sunoco Race of Champions. All
R.o.C qualifier winners will be awarded a lottery drawing opportunity for the
final two starting spots in the 200 lap event should they fail to qualify. Should a driver be in the top five in both
regions, their guaranteed spot would transfer in the region where they obtained
the fewest points. Defending tour
champion and past 200 winners will also be in the lottery.
